Reportedly, India-based Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has commissioned its new plate mill at Angul in eastern India's Odisha state and it started the commercial production in August.
The new plate mill is capable of producing the plates in steel grades including structural, boiler quality and shipbuilding, as well as pipeline plates of up to X80 grades with 5 meter wide, the widest size in India, according to JSPL's announcement on Bombay stock exchange on this Tuesday.
JSPL planned to produce 15,000 tons of plates in this September and increase the production gradually.
